UK Aerospace Spinout

Web foundation for an aerospace company

Sector: Aerospace technology
Client: UK-based stratospheric aviation company
Budget: £10,000 delivered against £12,000 budget
Delivered via: UK partner agency

Context

The client is an early-stage aerospace company developing stratospheric platforms - a niche, capital-intensive engineering business with a small team and an established parent backer. As a recently independent entity, they needed a web presence that signalled credibility to partners, prospective customers, and investors, without pulling their engineering team off the actual product.

Their existing site was a React build on inadequate hosting - fragile, slow, awkward to maintain, and not fit to represent a serious aerospace business.

Brief

Replace the existing site with a stable, credible, and easily maintainable informational site that represents the company properly and gets out of the founders' way.

Approach

A ground-up WordPress rebuild on proper hosting, with content architecture designed for a company in the "explaining who we are and what we do" phase rather than a transactional or content-heavy operation. The brief deliberately avoided over-engineering - no bespoke interactives, no unnecessary custom development - just a well-built informational site that the team could maintain without engineering attention.

A notable efficiency on this engagement was the working relationship. The client team are engineers and so are we, which meant scoping conversations, technical decisions, and design feedback all moved fast with minimal translation overhead. Decisions that often take agency-style back-and-forth happened in a single conversation.

Outcomes

  • Delivered on time at £10,000 against a £12,000 budget
  • Stable, performant site replacing a fragile React deployment
  • Maintainable foundation the team can update without external help
  • Credible web presence for partner, investor, and customer-facing communications

Stack

WordPress on stable hosting, replacing prior React-based deployment.
